#wsmcinseoul DAY 6 - home bound

We only had half a day today since we gotta leave for the airport at around 3pm.

Woke up earlier than usual for the original, authentic Paris Baguette.
We went to the branch at Seoul Station (line 1).

The one at the bottom right is my faveeeeee. Sausage with cheese, mixed veg and tomato sauce inside a baguette, yumyum.

Then we went to Lotte Departmental store. We found a gem!!!! Behind the Lotte Departmental store is this Lotte Young Plaza. Lots of cool stuff inside such as HUF, Stussy, Style Nanda, make up stuff and some local designers I think.

Pity we didn't have enough time.

Then we went to Myeongdong, which was right beside, for lunch!
Our last lunch in Korea :'(
Was kinda like a casual Korean restaurant. Not bad~~~

All in all, this trip was nothing but fabbbbbb.

List of my fave places:
1. Myeongdong shopping area (Myeongdong station)
2. Lotte Young Plaza (City Hall station)
3. Hongdae shopping area (Hongik uni station)
4. Ewha shopping area (Ehwa women's uni station)

Must try food:
1. Chicken and beer
2. Korean BBQ
3. Cold noodles (buckwheat/sweet potato)

Must try stuff:
1. JIMJILBANG!!!!!!! (Public shower and the fermentation thing. Just don't have any thoughts, just do it. It's not as bad as you think it is. I would definitely go to a jimjilbang again, I love it hahaah)
2. Noryangjin fish market: to see see and to eat

Korea, we will be back =D

#wsmcinseoul DAY 5 (last full day)

:( last full day before leaving tomorrow SIGHHHHHHHH. This trip has been really nice. So thankful for the people I have around me who loves me so much :)

Anyway today is a really fun and interestif day, stepping out of comfort zones and doing stuff I've never done before haha.

Woke up early for a very rich brunch.
Took a train to Noryangjin, to their fish market, kinda like a wholesale fishery.

LOOK AT THE GIANT TIGER PRAWNS OMGGGGGGGGGG

We got abalones, a hairy crab, huge scallops, clams and tiger prawns.
Afterwhich, we were brought up to a cosy restaurant at the second level, above the market.

All so yummyyyyyy~~~
Apart from paying for the ingredients, we gotta pay a "cover charge" and for the restaurant to cook our seafood. Came up pretty pricey. About SGD85 for ingredients and almost SGD80 for the restaurant charges. -_- but still the seafood was really fresh and yums.

Then, we decided to go to the local public shower, or jimjilbang. It's one of the biggest jimjilbang around.

Us in our oversized jimjilbang attire for the fermentation room. It's little rooms with e.g. salt crystals, set at like a certain tempterature, 50-60degrees. There are like jade fermentation room, charcoal room, oxygen room, an ice room at -20degrees and some other salt room at bloody hell 86degrees wtf. All these are said to have healing properties.

Restless backside us jumped from room to room. Then we had their hard boiled eggs and mini melts ice cream which didn't taste very good.

Then Chantel & I went to the baths (gender separated). Clothes aren't allowed inside there, but it really isn't that bad or awkward when we were inside LOL. Fun experiencing something locals do :)

Then we went to Bau House cafe AGAIN!!! (It's at Hapjeong subway)
Bul-lee so cutesy and fatty

Welcome from this blackie

Enormous Alaskan malamute

This very very smart Border Collie brought his ball to us and kept making us throw to him. Hell lot of energy, I felt tired for him. But really, his intelligence amazes me.

Never seen a prettier dog. She looks like a princess. Her fur so soft and smooth.

This giant white dog that's so ginormous I can't call him a dog but a bear

*sniff sniff*

Mega melts

依依不舍的 left Bau House. Sigh I wanna work there :(

We went to Hongdae again! This time is more thorough shopping~
(Btw Hongdae has been chosen as our most favourite place, followed by Ewha and Myeongdong IMO)

First, dinner! Finally got to fave Korean BBQ and I really got to say that none in Singapore can be compared to this. It was really the bomb.
Charcoal instead of gas stove

They don't have a large variety, (most restaurants that we have been to don't, I prefer it this way; being good at a few, rather than average at many)

We ordered 2 portions of pork cheeks, and a portion of pork shoulder and beef.

Shopped around, and bought even more stuff. After that, our fave chicken and beer AGAIN! This is the same as the one we had on the first day. Yummmmmms.

And here's supper part 2
Puddings and jelly we got from Lotte Mart at Seoul Station after jimjilbang.

This entire trip was so much of eating I think I put on like 5kg -.-

Only half a day more in Korea tomorrow. From the first day, getting lost while trying to change trains, till today almost so sure about the areas we frequent, where to change trains, how to talk to the locals, interpreting what the locals say in Korean or their heavy Korean accented English.

Sigh feeling sad but happy at the same time. At least I diligently blogged about all days here. Months later, I can look back and be remembered of such fun times :)

Till tomorrow, anyeong~~~

#wsmcinseoul DAY 4

Today was kinda a relaxing day. We took our own sweet time strolling, taking pics, eating blablabla. Temperature's quite high today, hit 20 degrees in the afternoon ~.~

I love love love love porridge. So I suggested korean's traditional porridge for breakfast. It was damn good omggggg. At Hoehyeon station (exit 1). We tried mixed seafood and beef. Super yummmmmmms. Salivating. I feel like a Korean princess eating this kind of food. Like 大长今.

Had a (tiring and warm) stroll up to find the cable car to bring us up. Walked the wrong way, and a kind office dude led us there LOL

Not the cable car that we were expecting.............. Chantel complained all the way up, and all the way down afterwards LOL.

Greedy us had potato curly thing again

Caught this shot with some birdies. Quite nice right LOL

Bushes of flowers made into heart shapes every where

This is the Lover's area. There were lovers locks and all. This is the lovers bench LOL

Sam and my godma so cute :)

By the way, the Teddy Bear museum at Namsan is closed, I don't know since when. Was pretty disappointed, but this Alive Museum (3D art) was pretty good!
Picture time~
LOLOL!
Actually............

After which, we went up to the observatory~ which was pretty much like every other observatories.

Pretty view of Seoul :)

Then we left for late lunch at Myeongdong!
Had sweet potato noodles and some hand made dumplings~
The one with the cold broth looks tasteless, but it was surprisingly tasty!! Refreshing yet not too bland. I prefer this over the saucey one.

Walked and shopped around for a bit at Myeongdong (again).
Happy day cause I GOT THE INNISFREE LEE MIN HO POSTER I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED OMGGGGGGGGGGGG *throws confetti and dance around*

Then we went to Ehwa women's uni area for some shopping. Was slightly drizzling but that didn't deter us at all.

Saw a Dunkin' Donut cafe. Yes cafe with like 3 levels of seats! Most such shops have seats and tables.

Decided on chicken & beer for dinner cause mummy didn't get to try on the first day here.
BUT stopped for churros on the way. No one says no to churros.

Chicken and beer for dinner whoop

One spicy sauce + tteokpokki, the other is kinda like a wasabi/garlic fried flavor.

Of course, some beer hehe

Sigh second last day already :'(
