Week's update - BWB + NamNam + home style BBQ

Just a quick update about my (last) :)

SATURDAY:

Went to support Eugenia at her cine competition after work

Had BWB (Burgers vs Wings + Bar) at Orchard Central for dinner!

Buffalo wings - level Medium (max for me)

Can't remember what's the name of this wing, but it's thumbs-up recommended on their menu too!
A bit citrus-y, me like!

Burger that we shared

And a sampler!

Also had cheese fries which was not bad. Bill came up to like $16 per person or something which I felt was really reasonable.

SUNDAY:
Flea @ Lucky plaza with Eugenia & Weishan. Great that we sold all our stuff, but we were drained

Had NamNam Noodle Bar @ Wheelock for dinner. Yummmmmm

My pick is rice noodles in soup with beef balls :)

Eugenia's one with beef slices

Weishan's dry noodles

MONDAY:
Had a trial work day at a pet shop 10min walk from my place.
Exhausting is an understatement. I have never been so tired in any job, and I was there only like 11-5, 6 hours??

First I had to clean the cats' (5x huge) cages and their litter boxes, wash their trays and all.
Then clean 6 other smaller cages - poop and pee and squashed poop and food and water and FUR.
Then brushed a few dogs' and bathed a few.
Doesn't really sound much but I started sneezing like mad, and had sinus. Mucus was flowing and my shirt had lots of fur all over. Sinus became worse when I rubbed my nose on my shirt LOL. Eye became swollen and teary. Felt like my windpipe was constricted too. Sigh, anyway here's a cute pom being trained to stand, the standard way?

And a Maltese I groomed LOL

THURSDAY:
Finally getting to meet my babies from NP, prepared a simple home BBQ!
All these ingredients added up to about $35.
Pork collar for shabu-shabu,
Chicken bulgogi,
Mushrooms (brown and enoki) and tau pok! Added in sausage and scallops that I found in my freezer haha

Additional kimchi from Korea and the most awesome chili ever that Louis' grandma gave me just cause I said it was nice :)

Ma lubbbbs

FRIDAY:
Finally played tennis!!!! And squash and table tennis with Chantel + stayover hehe

Baked some Oreo banana cupcakes and chocolate cookies yummmmmm

Pre-mixes are insurance for a successful bake haha

Cutie pie monmon :)

11 Apr - Club21 bag showcase + Antoinette @ Mandarin

Chantel, Godma & I attended Club 21's Spring/Summer collection! It was my first experience in such zai event LOL

Chantel and I spent (and enjoyed) a good 2-3 hours preparing ourselves LOL

Top: Love, Bonito
Skirt: Zara
Shoe: Kate Spade Saturday
Bag: Chanel

I don't have Chantel's solo ootd, but she looked fab and really sweet too hehe

The bag showcase is at the link bridge between Four Seasons and Hilton Hotel, where many of the club21 boutiques are at!
Our super cute door gifts

Only pic I took from the showcase area cause we were busy looking and analyzing and wowing each bags. I like the concept and the entire decor, very spring/summer indeed!

Croc and snake skin seems to be the 'in' thing now. But def not my cup of tea, or should I say type of leather. I feel so umcomfy and itchy all the way from my ear to my neck to my back everytime I brush my hand along the flaps of the croc skin.

Greedy us. Ate our bag cookie even before we left the place LOL
And many other (atas) finger food, e.g. beef tartare, foie gras sandwich, crab meat with prawn roe blablabla
My first time there and I enjoyed it very much. A lot of rich people with the 'seh' walking around LOL.
I was trying to hook up with some rich dude, just kidding.

Our hauls! LOL

An Alexander McQueen clutch is officially added into my must-have bags list! *drools*

We went to Antoinette @ Mandarin Gallery for dinner
Their portions are good, not too big but not too small either.
We shared a
- Concorde Crepe (crepe with roast chicken and bacon with creamy morel mushroom sauce)
- Bouchees aux Fruit de Mer (seafood in puff pastry) LOL I have no idea how to pronounce
- Scrambled egg gratin with tomato fondue, Paris ham, sautéed mushrooms & Parmesan cheese

All the dishes' names and descriptions sound so attractive. As usual, Chantel and I had a headache deciding. Us and food, always.

A matcha cake and a yuzu (Chloe) for dessert! Pity their Strawberry shortcake was sold out. My favourite cake on earth and highly raved by my fatty food guru friend Eugenia.

Ending this post with this sweet baby :)

1 Apr @ JB

Went JB with Eugenia today, on my SECOND day of my 2-week diet plan. And when you're in JB, HOW CAN YOU NOT EAT RIGHT.

Had Soon Huat BKT for lunch.

Pic c/o Eugenia ;)

Quite different from the BKT I have in Singapore (btw, I'm a BKT-lover). Less pepper-y, more herbal. I LOVE how there are button mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, tau kee and the regular pork ribs which were a tad tough.

We also had ginger & wine chicken which was super yummy, better than expected!
And Assam fish which was good too!
And the recommended lemon honey jelly/drink.
The bill came up to be 93MYR for 4, a bit more pricey than other places.

Next, went for our monthly mani & pedi!
Us bored while waiting for our turn

Helped Eugenia a bit while she edited her pics for some Cineleisure competition thing.

Had simple tweed French this time!

And Eugenia's, the cutest set of nails ever OMGGGGGGG

Then we went for dinner at some noodle street thingy nearby.
My faveeeeeee of the meal, wanton mee (I don't usually eat wanton mee in SG)

Abalone mee from another stall. The seafood soup was DAMN GOOD. Love all the ingredients inside - mock abalone which were very tasty, fave fish maw, super fat and fresh prawns, nice fishball, meatball and meat slices.
Definitely a soup that I will order again~~

Damn yummy fried kway tiao

And so-so satay.

That's all for my diet day 2 -_-
But definitely enjoyed myself with the phone-less Eugenia as usual :)
